WHAT IS REVERSE LOGISTICS?

Chariot Logistics helps customers mitigate all of the common issues of reverse logistics to keep the store’s shelves stocked and clean to continue to maximize efficiency.

Reverse logistics is primarily an outbound or transfer move from a distribution center (DC) to the stores or other distribution centers — the complete opposite of a standard supply chain. Moves range from store deliveries, to store sweeps, drop and hooks, equipment transfers, etc. COVID-19 substantially increased sales for every major retailer, which is obviously a good thing.

According to Warehouse Anywhere, “A well-planned, customized reverse logistics policy can reduce storage and distribution costs, improve a company's reputation, satisfy customer needs and create a more sustainable supply chain.”

Maximize Efficiency & Minimize Waste

Most companies are running as close to max capacity as possible. Insert a 40% increase in sales, which leads to 40% more product sorted, packed, shipped and delivered. Add in the immediate need for 40% more trailers, trucks and drivers ... total chaos begins. Unless Chariot Logistics  is in your network.

Chariot has been able to help reverse logistics customers mitigate all of these issues and keep the store’s shelves stocked and clean, and DCs full of the necessary equipment required to operate, but also to continue to maximize efficiency. When a product is going from the distribution centers to the individual stores, it is loaded and transported on anything but a pallet, they need to be returned to the DC immediately or the DCs risk running out of those containers to load the products. If you do not have the equipment to load the product on, you have no way to get the product to the store, and it will instantly affect sales and revenue. Chariot's “store sweep” program prevents this pain point, and also adds value with store clean up.
