OUR Expertise in Drayage
Our drayage department has been assisting our customers with all of their import and export container needs in the continental U.S. since 2016. Dedicating an entire department to focus on nothing but container drayage shipments allows our team to stay ahead of the game by building strong, lasting relationships with our select group of carriers as well as being in the know of all port and rail challenges at any given time.
OUR Drayage Carrier Base
By building relationships with carriers who specialize in drayage shipments, we are able to use repeat carriers for our customers’ drayage moves, which in turn, allows our carriers to become very familiar with our customers’ warehouse locations and their needs.
Strong relationships with drayage carriers also helps to mitigate unforeseen accessorial charges that are often associated with drayage shipments. We and our carrier base understand that simple, transparent rates make things easier on our customers.

We are more than familiar with this process as we handle inspection containers on a weekly basis. Any worry about following inspection guidelines is taken off of our customers’ shoulders by using Chariot’s specialized drayage team.
